46 million Nokia BL-5C batteries manufactured by Matsushita are defective

Nokia issued a product recall today for the BL-5C battery. Over 300 million of these things were made, 46 million might be defective, only 100 incidents of overheating have occurred, but that is still 100 too many. First step is finding out if you have one of the following devices:

The almighty FCC has blessed Nokia’s Bluetooth GPS Module LD-4W. This is pretty cool! Those of you who’ve been looking for a GPS add-on to your Bluetooth enabled smartphones or Nokia 770 can now dig into Nokia’s latest gizmo get directions on the phone.

Of course, if you really wanted GPS on your phone, you would’ve gone for the Nokia N95 but that’s way too expensive.
